Michael & I have a passion to help the persecuted people of Africa, especially in war-torn Sudan and Darfur. We have been able to help in a limited way through funding the orphaned children to go to boarding schools through Seeds of Hope & World Vision and praying, praying, praying!
We also have a real passion to reach out to the youth and help lead them to the amazing transforming power of Jesus. Our kids are facing unseen evils like never before and they need our help more than ever!!! The battle is fierce!!!
We have been frustrated because we feel that all of our time and energy goes toward work and making money and our money goes toward "maintaining" our home, cars & stuff!
God is now calling us to give/sell it ALL and go on a full time God-appointed adventure to do a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) DTS (Discipleship Training School) in Kona Hawaii and then on an outreach in Africa. From there...who knows? All we know is that we want to be obedient to our awesome God and be used by Him to help others who are lost and hurting. Praise God!
We're so excited about the opportunity and experiences that lie ahead. We hope you see the value in what we will accomplish. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. We need to raise 20,000 dollars by August 2010. If you can support us in a financial way, we would be very grateful. But, most importantly, we also need your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God's leading in ministry. Without prayer, nothing will happen.
God's blessings!!

I just have to post this, because I was reading today on my lunch hour and came across this, then read the above and knew I had to post what I read.
Today I read: A person can obey God and not trust him; however, a person cannot trust God fully and be disobedient. Disobedience flows from mistrust of Him and his intentions toward us.
Congratulations to you both for trusting enough to realize what you needed to do and be truly obedient, not out of fear, but because of complete trust.
