God is Faithful!

Hi!  Just a quick post - wanted to share with you all something that happened the other day...such a great example of God's testing and faithfulness...

Since I am "barely" working right now and we haven't sold the house, we are having to pull from savings to make ends meet.  Well, NOT much to pull on in savings, so I got a little panicky at the beginning of September as I looked at bills and where we were financially.  I got the great idea to not pay tithing for just this month of september and will continue next month...("gee, we could REALLY use that extra $400.00 right now!!)  A week into September and Michael, my husband, comes to me and says that he just listened to an amazing podcast sermon that was about tithing and was really convicted that we are to not hold back our tithing no matter what our circumstances are and that we are to TRUST in Him.  I promptly made out a check (pulling from savings!) and, not even kidding you, within a few hours, got a call from our realtor saying that we have an offer coming our way on the sale of our home!  I was really excited to see God working so clearly and responding to my obedience.  It's like He said to us, "see, you don't have to worry, I have things under control...just continue looking to me and being obedient in these things and I will bless you!"  JUST GOTTA LOVE THAT!!

Michael & I had a wonderful prayer time that night, praying over the check and releasing our worries to Him and asking for His forgiveness for our unfaithfulness.

I had put my focus on my difficult financial circumstances and wanted to take care of it myself but God says to keep our eyes on HIM and HIM only and we will weather the storms together, not alone.  I like that.  Thank you God.
