Throwing Away Your "Yah Buts" & Replacing Them With Faith!

"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone"
- Neale Donald Walsch

"Yaaaaaaaah.....Butttttt......what if I can't do it?  What if I fail?  What if I can't find a job?  Yah, but, I might suffer and that really is out of my comfort zone!  Yah, but, what if I fall on my face and can't get back up?  And it goes on and on...FEAR.  It's all about our fear...paralyzing, mind numbing fear!  It stops us every time from moving into all that God has for us!

So many people are stuck where they are because, at the last step, before doing something amazing, they stop and think, "yah but" and the fear comes in and they fall back into their old patterns & stay stagnant. This happens to many people when trying to get out of difficult relationships as well.  Sometimes it's easier to stay in a difficult situation that is "familiar" rather than step out into the unknown, and risk possible failure.  That's scary.

"God took a journey of a billion + steps to come to us, but He always leaves the last step to us."  This is so true...when I heard this saying on a podcast a few months back, it really hit me...smack, right in the face!  (Hurt a bit too!)  It made me realize that this is what I have been doing for years now and why I have been stuck in my place of "yah butness!"

Stop, be still, pray, listen, focus, STEP out and DO THAT LAST STEP!!  Fear and doubt will be there no matter what, so take the "yah buts" out of your thoughts...your breakthrough is right around the corner!  The only thing that gets in the way is your SELF (your thoughts).  God wants to give it to you!  You just have to get out of the way and let Him.  It is hard, but that doesn't mean you can't do it.  YOU CAN!!  All it takes is a mustard seed of faith...one step away, one knock on God's door, and one faith given moment where you and God connect and together jump off that ledge toward your God given goal that has been staring in your face all these years.

Once you take this leap of faith, past the "yah buts," you will experience God's faithfulness.  This, in turn, strengthens your faith even more.  This is the beautiful process of learning to trust God.  How can we have faith when we don't give him anything to do that we can't do ourselves?  That's not faith, that's living in our flesh, staying SAFE and not trusting that He is who He says He is and will do what HE says He'll do!

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”Matthew 17:19-21

Our God is faithful.  I am learning this, one day at a time.  Each time I give Him a little more of myself, my control, He gives me back more faith.  This calling on our lives has challenged me in ways I never thought possible.  Very BITTERSWEET.  I am learning that I have more in me than I ever realized.  I like that.

Share with us how God is moving you out of your comfort zones.  Would love to hear your stories!

Blessings,
Michael
