Adventure of my soul

In my devotional time with the Lord this morning, He directed me to these two significant truths and I wanted to share them with you brothers...

1 Corinthians 15:58
"Therefore my dear brothers, stand firm.  Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to your work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain"

John Eldredge-Wild At Heart
"O Lord, open wide the eyes of my soul that I might see the true yearnings of my heart. Uncover my desire for adventure, battle and beauty.  Begin to dismantle all the messages that have challenged and assaulted your design of me. May your invitation to life as a man be forever before me. I accept the invitation to live from my deep heart. Father, use the words of this book and meditations of my heart to guide, shape and direct me in this journey that I might be the man you designed me to be. I ask this in the name of Jesus."

Brothers, I encourage us all to stand firm for our adventure with God, place ourselves on the rock of Christ so nothing can move us.  Surrender it all to Him so His light will always shine on us.  Choose the TRUTH through our Father God and we will rest in His labor.  In order to achieve this, we must PURPOSE to live this out every day, starting with making our morning devotional and prayer time a MUST before we start our daily grind!  This is so key to allowing God access to our hearts every day to guide, shape and direct us in this journey.  Our goal as men of God is to become all that God created us to be, right?  And to live His adventure with purpose, so in order to do this, we must stay connected to Him every day!

So today, I challenge you all to clear your schedules each morning and spend that valuable time with your Father God.  Even if this means you have to get up earlier or change your schedule.

This adventure is yours to be had!  Now go take that surfboard of adventure and RIDE!!!!

Aloha,
Michael
